- Description
- Two views of the Wallabout section of Brooklyn during the test of artificial fog as a means of concealing places from aerial raiders who might come over in daylight. At top, a view of the area before the fog, a non-toxic, non-odorous vapor, was turned loose. Below, how the section looked with the "ceiling" of fog hanging over the buildings. The fog was generated in a laundry building near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Military authorities observed the tests.
