Administrative/Biographical History: Heavy Metal is an exploration of the rich industrial ecosystem that exists within the Yard, and features Yard-based designers, artists and manufacturers. From robotics to jewelry to furniture, this exhibition collectively displayed the uniqueness of this multi-faceted material and the diversity of Brooklyn Navy Yard businesses who use it in their work.

Heavy Metal ran from July 31, 2017 through January 31, 2018. 14 tenants participated in this show. It was the second exhibit displayed in the gallery space at BLDG 92.
Scope and Content: This collection contains materials related to the Heavy Metal exhibition that was displayed in BLDG 92, hosted BNYDC’s Department of Exhibits and Programs.
