- Herbert Fahr was on the crew of the USS Missouri during the Korean War tour. He was then an officer of the Missouri BB-63 Association. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, and his father (Herbert Fahr, Sr.) owned a bakery located near the Brooklyn Navy Yard that sailors and other Navy Yard personnel would frequent.
