- Mr. Morgan was born in 1827 and died in 1915. He was married to Pamela Jane Hartt (1829-1904). He was employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the 1890s and lived in Brooklyn.

- This collection contains 14 glass lantern slides that were taken at the Brooklyn Navy Yard by Mr. William Frederic Morgan, Jr. Most of the slides depict various ships, such as the USS Pensacola and the USS Kearsage. Two slides have a date of May 1891.
